My project looks at the bamboo subsector in India. It tries to map the various bamboo species with their respective uses and finds the most feasible match that can be commercialized.It then studies that subsector in detail and works out the operational details needed for a startup. It also looks at design and process innovations that will help make bamboo usage mainstream. Further, it will explore innovations in business models so that the benefits can percolate to the marginalized sections of society.
